This study is a case study on play therapy which was used to provide support to a family experiencing domestic violence. The mother and two brothers were all emotionally unstable, and their interrelationships were severely damaged. The elder child revealed external problem behavior while language delay was found in the younger child. Their mother had great difficulties in raising them. Through Person-Centered Play Therapy, each member of this family needs to repair his/her own levels of emotional functioning, and to improve their interrelationships. To achieve these two goals, the researchers decided to use Sibling Play Therapy and CPRT was based on Person-Centered Theory. This was implemented for a duration of 10 weeks(60 minutes per one session and two sessions in a day). Through qualitative analysis on the therapy process, three victim`s internal/external changes were identified. As a result, child-parent and sibling relationships improved while the elder child`s external problem behavior and mother`s parenting stress declined. Moreover, the parenting skills and efficacy of the mother improved. She also started to develop a positive perspective towards her children. This study is limited in generalizing the results, because it was a case study about only one family. However, this study is meaningful in that is confirmed the effectiveness of Person-Centered Play Therapy in the treatment of victims of domestic violence.
